Schools Web Sites:
Community members may also choose from many online universities. Always consult a guidance counselor before committing funds to any school so that the school's accreditation can be assessed. Soldiers will access their tuition assistance (TA) benefits by registering for classes through the GoArmyEd.com portal. All colleges listed at the GoArmyEd portal are regionally or nationally accredited and recognized by the Department of Education. Most schools listed in the GoArmyEd portal typically award college credit for military experience and occupational specialties in accordance with established guidelines in the American Council on Education (ACE) guide.
CLEP and DANTES standardized tests may also be accepted for college credit. These tests are available at the National Testing Center (NTC) that was recently activated at the Rose Barracks Education Center. Besides CLEP and DANTES tests the NTC also offers a wide range of academic and certification exams. Army Personnel Tests such as language proficiency and aptitude exams, the Armed Forces Classification Test, just to name a few are also available at our testing sections. Additionally, the ASE and GED battery is offered at our testing sections as well as proctoring services for students involved in distance education programs.
